Achieving Balance

Balance – whether originating within Chinese, Indian (Ayurveda), Polynesian, African, Amazonian, Malaysian, Native American, or other system of traditional medicine around the world, ALWAYS uses a balanced approach when it comes to selecting fruits or herbs to be used medicinally. Unfortunately, we see far too many of these “unbalanced” products on the market around the world with claims that don’t live up to either their traditional use or the modern scientific evidence.

You need to realize that you can take CONTROL of the way you feel, the amount of energy you have, how your mind and body perform, and ultimately your destiny and the path you decide to take through life.

Taking control may have many forms, from optimizing the amount of sleep or exercise you get, to the types of foods you eat, to your approach to various stressors in your life, and especially to your decision about how to supplement your diet.

Combating imbalance in your life can be step-by-step – such as:

  • Identify the stressor
  • Clarify why it is stressing you
  • Take Action – to DO something about it

…or it can be on an “as needed” basis (doing more when you’re particularly unbalanced by a period of high stress). Whichever approach you take, it is important to remember that Emotions and Biochemistry are a two-way street.

This means that our emotions and how we FEEL are influenced by biochemistry (by changes in hormones and enzymes and neurotransmitters throughout our entire body) – but just as biochemistry can drive emotions, so too can your emotions and your own personal perceptions of the world can drive biochemistry and lead to subsequent changes in energy, mood, depression, anxiety, mental function, and physical performance.
